The Passaic County 200 Club provides scholarships annually for graduating seniors. This year we are providing five (5) scholarships and anticipate providing similar awards in subsequent years. Each scholarship will be for $2,500.00 over a period of four (4) years. To be eligible, applicants must plan to continue their education at a college, junior college or a post year secondary vocational school. An applicant must also have a parent/guardian who lives and/or works in Passaic County in public safety, i.e. law enforcement, as a firefighter or as an emergency medical technician.
The Passaic County 200 Club is a charitable organization which is comprised of local business people and government officials. The purpose of our organization is to receive, invest and disburse funds primarily for the benefit of dependent widows/widowers and/or dependent children of public safety employees of Passaic County.
Selections will be based upon need, scholastic aptitude, character and extra-curricular activities. Initial preference will be given to applicants whose families have been recipients of prior contributions as a result of a death benefit.
Submitted applications must be postmarked on or before March 16, 2017. The selected recipients will be notified by April 10, 2017. A copy of our application is enclosed for your use.
