Will
Rogers once said, "We all can't be heroes because somebody has to sit
on the curb and clap as they go by." I am in awe of the brave men and
women in public safety who put their lives on the line every day to
protect us. They are my heroes. It takes a very special person to rush
into a burning building, subdue an armed suspect or provide emergency
medical care at the scene of an accident.
When we lay to rest someone who makes the ultimate sacrifice in the
line of duty, the sadness in the community runs deep. It is comforting
to know that the Passaic County 200 Club exists to help their loved
ones cope with the loss. Likewise, when we honor individuals for their
heroic actions, our sense of pride is immense.
It is a privilege to serve as the president of the Passaic County 200
Club and if you are not already a member, I encourage you to join us to
experience firsthand how these heroes can touch your life.
